It’s been quite some time since we’ve had Jono Diener of The Swellers featured with a new Contributor Blog, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to have him back. In his new blog, Jono tackles the subject of reviews and reviewers and it makes for a great read. The Swellers…

I Was Born In the Dark Fireworks

WHO: Fireworks

ALBUM: Gospel

Sounds Like: All the best parts of New Found Glory, Saves the Day and Fall Out Boy all wrapped in one, with a little bit more of a punk edge.

I Tore You Apart In My Head Balance And Composure

WHO: Balance & Composure

ALBUM: Seperation

SOUNDS LIKE: Heavy and thickly layered guitar driven rock reminiscent of 90’s Alternative rock band HUM, as well as elements of Brand New and Nirvana.

SONG: I Tore You Apart In My Head - a good intro to the band if you haven’t heard them, it’ll show you have loud and quiet they can get dynamically within one song.
